Course Summary
The NAD Children’s Ministries offers a certification program for leaders that are part of the Children’s Ministries program at all levels of the Church. Today you will be participating in Track 1 Understanding Children. This track is about comprehending various types of children and the way they develop, think, and behave. Understanding Children also provides way to promote mental, physical, and spiritual growth.
What do I need to know?
This certification program contains 10 workshops 9 of which are included in this module that include instructional videos, interactive activities, PowerPoint presentations, handouts on each topic, and quizzes. In order to be certified in this track you will need to complete 7 of the 10 workshops and need to include the four required courses marked with an asterisk. Please carefully complete all learning actives and collect downloadable resources prior to proceeding to the next workshop.
What will I learn in this course?
The purpose of course is to give you the tools necessary as you work in various areas of Children’s Ministries in your union, conference, or local church. Our goal has always been to be used by God to lead children to Say Yes to Jesus. Once you have completed 7 of the 9 workshops available here you will complete the certification program in Track 1 Understanding Children. This track is about comprehending various types of children and the way they develop, think, and behave. Understanding Children also provides way to promote mental, physical, and spiritual growth. This is only one of 7 tracks that the NAD Children’s Ministry department offers that once completed will help you be prepared to work with children in sabbath school classroom, children’s church, VBS, or any are in children’s ministries.
